About Us

We are a mother-daughter duo that love to sketch and paint. Sagarika Sen (mummy) started dabbling in art years ago, before Sanjukta Sen (daughter) was born. It took Sanjukta a little more time to pick up a paintbrush. But since 2014, both have discovered a mutual love for everything art-related, from illustrations, to experimenting with art materials, to watercolours, to urban sketching.

For a few years, we have run our own separate art blogs. Sagarika posts most frequently on Facebook (facebook.com/sagarikascanvas) while Sanjukta posts on Instagram (instagram.com/sanjsketches). However, we have been talking about starting a blog together for a while now. While Facebook and Instagram are very easy to post on, we wanted to spend a bit more time talking about our processes, lessons learnt, mistakes made, etc. in more detail.
